Shake Shack – 2 new locations coming to Boston

27 Feb

I have to admit, I have never been to a Shake Shack. I hope that this can change soon with the opening of two new locations in the Boston area. One will be added to Legacy Place in Dedham, which is convenient that my sister lives so close to there. The Legacy Place location will open on Sunday, March 1st. The second location will be at 234-246 Newbury Street, opening Monday, March 2nd.

Shake Shack Boston

Anytime I hear about this place, it is always about how packed it is. I would like to think that is a testament to how good it is. Those that have been, can you confirm?

According Shake Shack’s press release: “In addition to all the Shake Shack classics, both the Newbury Street and Dedham Shacks will offer a selection of location-specific frozen custard concretes. The Dedham Shack’s selection will include Wicked Crunchie (vanilla frozen custard blended with salted caramel sauce, shattered sugar cookie cone, and banana) and Shack Attack (chocolate frozen custard blended with fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough, Mast Brothers Shake Shack dark chocolate chunks, and chocolate sprinkles), a classic Shack fan favorite that originated at Shake Shack’s flagship location in NYC’s Madison Square Park.

The Newbury Shack menu will feature NewBERRY (Vanilla custard blended with strawberry jam, cheesecake blondie, and cinnamon sugar) as well as the aptly named Back Bay Blend(chocolate frozen custard blended with peanut butter sauce, chocolate toffee, and chocolate sprinkles).

The new Dedham Shack will quench shoppers’ thirst with draft root bear by Abita and seasonal Shack lemonades, while the Newbury Street Shack will feature an expanded beverage menu, including our exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister Ale, Shack White and Shack Red wines, and rotating seasonal draft beers.”

“Clicks for Meals” Fights Hunger this Holiday Season

30 Nov

Alright faithful readers we have a mission for you. Our good friends at Barracuda Networks are challenging the world to help provide 10,000 meals for hungry kids this holiday season. From November 30 until December 31, Barracuda Networks’ new Clicks for Meals campaign offers you three FREE, simple ways that everyone can help donate meals to starving kids around the world.

We’ve done this and it’s already spread to our friends on Facebook. Now we’re asking you to help too. Here’s how:

Barracuda Networks will provide one meal for each of the following:

  1. Install Profile Protector for Facebook and Twitter. The Profile Protector is a free tool that analyzes and blocks malicious activity on Facebook and Twitter. –>Who couldn’t use that??
  2. Follow @barracudalabs on Twitter. Barracuda Labs is the threat research team who created Profile Protector. –>They talk about useful stuff, especially if you’re online all the time like we are.
  3. “Like” Barracuda Networks on Facebook –> There’s really no reason not to.

And boom it’s as easy as that! You know you want to help out some needy kids this holiday season and here’s your chance. It takes 2 seconds (literally) and you will be making a difference. If we can’t convince you, perhaps Dr. Paul Judge, chief research officer of Barracuda Networks can.

Please, please help them reach their goal of 10,000 meals by December 31!
