bacon & beer fest – and the epicness it was

6 Jun

well, the bacon & beer fest was an epic success and i’m pretty sure this signified the first annual occurrence (@dennisf).  as you may have seen from a previous post, i made cheddar bacon corn bread and stud muffin made chocolate covered bacon. when guests began to arrive with their delicious dishes, i knew i was in for a night full of wonder and a morning full of stomach aching.

cdog made BLT dip with beer bread and love muffin provided an insane amount of delicious beer that will make its way to stud muffin and my new apartment.

the rest of the menu included:

  • two kinds of bacon bruschetta
  • a bacon loaded salad (we need our veggies, right?)
  • mini hot dogs wrapped in bacon slow-cooked in a maple bacon glaze
  • bacon maple glazed cookies
  • and last but not least, pork rinds.
now for some pictures:
the spread
fig and bacon bruschetta
bacon wrapped weiners
our baby mascot for the night
P.eople E.ating. Tasty. Animals
my favorite from the night was a tie between the fig/bacon bruschetta and the maple glazed cookies.
cdog’s favorite were the bacon wrapped wieners.
thank you to everyone who made this night an epic success and there will be a next time, so let us know if you want in.
